...On the other hand, why would lying be a sign of Greatness? Anyone can spin falsehoods, and rather easily so. In my definition of greatness, anyone worthy of that title would eschew artifice except as a last resort to persuade, or as a form of play--but not as a tool for to obtain power and control. Are so-called "great men" truly great, or are they just well-placed actors, historically posed in the right place at the right time to seize the moment? We need to look at external factors as much as individual qualities for a true understanding of greatness.
