I think you're confused. Being forced to live in a less-desirable place because you can't afford it is not a "choice." It's an act of necessity. Don't be a puppet for capitalists who justify their greed by saying we have "choices" because alternatives exist to the life you actually want. It's a false dichotomy. They didn't work harder than you. They aren't more worthy than you. They're just more wealthy than you. Not being able to afford to live in a gated community in CA is one thing, but we're talking about an ENTIRE STATE being unlivable for a majority of people. That is completely wrong.
